Pakistan’s Asim Khan had an amazing start to his London Open journey
Pakistani Asim Khan started his journey at the London Open squash tournament with a win beating New Zealand player Temwa Chileshe in the first round. Asim won the match in straight games with scores of 11-9, 11-6 and 11-15. Throughout the game Asim played very well and stayed in control and quickly responded to Chileshe moves. After winning the first two games easily Asim had to work harder in the third game which he won after a fight. This strong start is a good sign for Asim in this Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour Copper event. In the second round Asim will face a strong opponent who is Auguste Dussourd from France. The London Open has a prize of $33000. Asim is currently ranked 60th in the PSA rankings making him the highest ranked Pakistani squash player and he hopes to improve his ranking with this tournament.
